Six hand-inked, laser-engraved plexiglass panels explore love and gender through the motif of shifting morning light. Each plexiglass panel is mounted with mulberry paper, translucently letterpress-printed using laser cut matboard. The printed images were rendered from abstract photographs of light. Each copy of A.M. | AM is housed in a birch laser-engraved box.

I wrote and printed this story in the wake of a particularly bad breakup. The text explores my emotional recovery, and spares few of the messy details. The piece is multidimensional: when held up to the light, each translucent print shows through. When light shines upon it, the print disappears, leaving words floating upon a blank page.
A.M. | AM was printed at The Press at Colorado College, in association with Innovations at CC. One of three existing copies is available for viewing at Special Collections, at Tutt Library, Colorado College.
